It's been pretty quiet lately, who's gonna be at the jam next week? Are we still using the "bring a friend" theme?

I must admit, I do miss some of the old forum banter, but I guess that ultimately, playing is better than talking about it.

I never realized just how much of a clique existed in the AG Gear forum. Wow. If you're part of that click, you get 300 responses for the most mundane conversations. An "outsider" is lucky to be acknowledged. And I thought BSR and Resolve dominated the beginners forum!

Hope to see the regulars and a few new faces next jam. Speaking of whom, Sue, you out there ??????

So far it looks like I'll

So far it looks like I'll still be able to make it and probably have the wife and kids too. I'll firm that up later in the week.

AG Beginners forum is pretty dead these days. Looks like Zooty has moved on to parts unkown, along with a few others.

cool........

That would definitely fall into the "bring a friend " category.

Hmmm, Zooty. I forgot all about him! I thought he had picked up the baton from the others that had moved on to greener pastures. Pretty sure he's not at "The Backporch" forum. He's one of the reasons they moved on.

Hey there,

Hey there,
Certainly still try for the bring a friend.
Some local guy called me about the Y guitar class (and I had to have a conversation with the Y about giving out my number) and while he's too advanced for the class, I invited him to the jam, so he might be my bring-a-friend. Or not. It's amazing how many people I ask seem to feign interest. Some don't even do me the courtesy of declining.

Good to hear Zooty's gone. Maybe I'll post again, but I must say, I get more work done during the day now that I'm active in very few fora. The can be very distracting. I'll probably mention the jam in one or two other places, but this seems as good a place as any for the coordination of the jams themselves.

My kids will like it if your kids come, Luke. Do let me know.
