Good job to jump in and start this group Donna. I see Dave, Kelly Dougherty, and Eric have joined folkjam.org, but I don't think they understand that they need to join the group too. Good to see you here Scott, as well.

I've been tinkling with the idea of another session at my place this fall. The first Saturday, October 6 looks best at this point. Just wondering if anybody would be interested.

See you Saturday.

Cool place for a session

I thought your place was great for a session, with the grand view. Let's see if other people are interested.

Yes I think you are right that people haven't figured out about joining the Group. I hope they catch on with out too much effort.

Roger - I have a few changes

Roger - I have a few changes in plan (planned for after September) to work the groups into a few more prominent areas, such as after registration showing all the groups that are in the user's local area. That will help with people who sign up for a group but don't know where to go next.

A question for you. You began this thread in the 'groups feature beta testing group' rather than in Donna's new group. Was this by accident, or did you post it to Donna's KC Irish group and perhaps there is a glitch I need to track down? I suspect it was an accident but something that we could help guard against with some of our groups UI improvements.

Anyway, your invitation for an Irish session at your house has been sent to folks who probably won't make the few hundred mile drive. :)

Group Forum Post

Hi Scott,

I actually posted it to both groups by checking the boxes next to the name of each group. Since I have never posted to the beta group since joining, I was thinking it might give you a chance to make sure everything was working.

Surely by October the falling price of gas will make that long drive more attractive?

Is there an option somewhere to receive mail from forum posts, or is the proper way to communicate with all members via a group posting?

Count me in

Sorry I missed the last session at your place Roger, but I will brand it in my calendar this year!
