I'm disorganized

Hi guys, I totally got my wires crossed and forgot that Saturday the 5th my favorite regional bluegrass band, River Ramblers, is opening for The Infamous Stringdusters at the Hoogland Center in Springfield. The gig starts at 3:00pm. Weird time I know but there is something else at the Center in the evening. I really should go to this as I'm currently functioning as PR person for the band. If you've never heard them, check them out here: MySpace URL: http://www.myspace.com/riverramblersbluegrass Could we meet either later in the day on Saturday, say 4:30 - 7:30; or could we do Sunday 2 - 5? I would have suggested earlier on Saturday, but I remembered that George is going to be at the vet school open house. Or, might Friday evening work? I'm so sorry about this. I'm not used to having a lot going on and when I do it isn't unusual for me to compartmentalize things and not realize I have more than one thing on the same date until the last minute. The email notice didn't print the whole message. Please make sure you read it all at the group site. Thanks :-)

Does this work for you George? If it does, then we're on for this Saturday at 4:30 at my house. :-)

We actually had this same problem getting the three original stakeholders for the UIS jam together in the same place for the initial planning session. Once that was done, then we could figure out a permanent schedule and everyone could actually take that into account for their future.
Sandy, I'm still up for heading up to Lincoln for 4:30 on Saturday. Last night I played "Over the Waterfall" on the fiddle for the first time (that I recall). It's a really satisfying tune.
George, I'll see if I can make it over to the slow jam in Urbana one of these times so we can meet in person.

What do we have then?
Wednesdays are out because the Urbana Slow Jam is the opposite weeks of the Springfield UIS Jam. Otherwise, mid-week, either Tuesdays or Thursdays could work.
I've looked at my calendars (carefully) and I'm available Saturdays 4/12, 4/19 & 5/3 anytime of the day.
May 7 - 12 I am gone to a fiddle camp in TN run by Megan Lynch.

Hi Erich,
You posted while I was writing mine :-)
If you would like to get together this Sat. eve. (which sounds great to me) it might be just was well to meet at your place, if you are open to that, as my husband and I will be in Springfield for the Infamous Stringdusters gig - Bruce can bring his guitar and mandolin. The concert starts at 3:00 and I was going to leave early to get back to Lincoln for our jam at 4:30. I think the concert actually ends at 5:00 so might 5:30 at your home work?
I'll give "Over the Waterfall" a listen and see if I can figure it out :-)

We'll work out some dates. I have not gone to the Bloomington things yet. I'll be interested in what happens with English country dance music.

We can either meet in Springfield at my place of work or at my home. Each has advantages.
My home is about 15 minutes to the east of Springfield, actually about 9 miles east of Rochester.
11603 Pheasant Drive
Rochester, IL.
Google Map Location. The arrow is actually placed slightly wrong, our house is around the bend that continues to the north.
Disadvantage: a fair drive from Springfield
Advantages: I'll make chili, if you like that
Advantage/disadvantage depending on your preference: We have 4 dogs. Two will bark for a while (a Shelty and a Schnauzer) and the standard Poodle will probably bring you a ball, but not give it to you. The fourth dog is a second Shelty, but he won't do much.
Work: I work at the State Museum Collection Center, and we have nice conference rooms that it's OK for me to use for this.
Advantage: just a few blocks from Hoogland Center.
Disadvantage: Locked gate on weekends, I would have to let you in. Not a big problem, I've done this in the past, and this is actually a pretty good option for general get togethers. If this were a permanent preference, I might be able to get scheduled open-gate times.

Your place and the chili sound great, but my hubby is not comfortable with dogs. He got bit twice, as a child, by dogs the owners assured him never bit - he's not been comfy with them since.
If your dogs like to mingle then the museum is probably best. Could we bring in some fast food? I'm sure we'll be hungry by then. We're really looking forward to getting together :-)
