Rapidity of update

So, I got an email from someone letting me know that I had given the wrong date on an event I had posted (doh!). I changed it, and gave my apologies. The corrected date shows up in the "node-specific" URL for the event, as well as in the pdf "jam report", but not on the "home page" listing. I expect this is part of the backend caching of the information? Perhaps a notification when one makes a change that changes may not show up until some period of time has passed? Maybe there was one, and I didn't make note of it.

I saw exactly what you were

I saw exactly what you were describing. I'll need to keep an eye out for this - I opened and saved the entry again and the dates updated. You clearly did the exact same thing to update the dates this past weekend. Our logs show that when you saved it and we reindexed it (in cache) over the weekend that the same code triggered successfully to update the cache.

The immediate problem is gone. I'll watch for other problems like this. Thank you for reporting it.

Still doing it...

The problem event is the Bluegrass Jam--Lincoln Log Cabin, in Lerna, IL
http://www.folkjam.org/onetime-jam/us/illinois/lerna/bluegrass-jam-linco...

On the event page it shows the correct date of August 12, which I updated on Saturday.

On the opening map page (which I have as a 90-mile radius from Springfield, IL) the event has a date of August 11, the date that I had originally put in.

Which post?

Vrteach,

The front page should update right away with the new dates. While we do aggressively cache data to aid site performance, we also make it a point to clear those caches when changes are made to an event.

Which event did you update, what specific change did you make and where was the change not reflected? I'll try to reproduce the problem in our development area and if I can identify that something went wrong, I'll fix it.
