learning cajun

Hi all,I have been playing traditional fiddle here in Scotland for around five years from learning the instrument.I also play trad. mandolin/tenor banjo.I would like to learn to play cajun fiddle tunes,how easy or complicated would this be? I would appreciate some help here in the form of constructive suggestions if possible! I am also traveling to Vancouver tomorrow for a few weeks, so if anybody know's of any jamming sessions in the Mission/Abbotsford BC area I would be grateful for any links/contacts
