I just came back from another great Rhytm and Roots- Labor Day weekend festival at Ninigret State Park in Charlestown R.I. I purposely buy a camping ticket so I can jam and dance after the festival is officially over. On Friday night, 1A.M. the jam started with Joe Allen(cajun accordian), members of Magnolia (cajun band), other members of other cajun/zydeco bands , and others, like me who love the music and just love to play. I played my bodron (celtic drum) and triangles. Others played fiddle, various drums, bass guitar, rubboard, guitar, mandolin, sax, etc. while the dancers worked up a storm till 3 A.M. As always, it was well worth the trip.
