How do you go back to your "home"

After I search around for jams elsewhere, what is the easiest way to get the map back to the original position? I suppose it's not really necessary, but it would satisfy my "Monk" side.

I look forward to it. And I say again that I like the "home" link very much. I just used it when I got back on and the cookie remembered that I was last looking at Madison, Wisconsin. It made so easy to get back home.

You ask, we deliver (sooner or later)

Hey vrteach,

You now have a shiney new 'go home' link in the change location form on the right hand side of the page as well as a menu item under 'change location' in the navigation links on the left. We even put in the gold plating of hiding the items when you are already 'home' (i.e. using the location in your profile).

Thanks for the input on this feature. I hope you and others find it helpful in navigating the site.

Thanks, I've been having a fine time getting back to playing this year. I've never made it to Winfield--maybe some time.

This is entirely off topic.

This is entirely off topic. I've been poking around your site (after a few referral clicks from the folkjam.org link you added - thanks!) and really like the way you play. I don't know too many banjo players who have so many fiddle tunes down so well. If you ever find yourself in Kansas City please do drop me a line.

Do you ever get down to Winfield?

Thanks, that answers my question. Unfortunately I tend to wear rubber heels, so the blue fairy can not hear my click. I'll have to use the zip code.

Click your heels together

...three times. That is how they tell us to get home when we ask around Kansas City.

You are right, we need a 'go home' menu option. We will stop counting on the heel clicking solution and add this to the interface.

Monk might be right on this one

At the moment you need to enter the either your home city or postal code in the change location form. We 'remember' your profile location, but only really use that data when you log in for the first time from a new computer, or clear your cookies in your current browser.

We have knocked around the idea of adding a 'go home' button or menu item, but haven't yet decided exactly how we want to implement it.
