Anyone near Navasota?
1 Aug 2009
Hi:
I am new to the site and would be interested in playing with folks. I have done mostly country, but really just want to meet people and strum. I have seen that there are three jams near montgomery texas (ish) and will definately check them out, but I just wanted to see if there is anyone near Navasota who has a jam or would be interested in starting one.

Try out the jams you know about and let us know how you do. You will probably find out about more jams once you attend a few.

Hey drumbeat,
If you are looking to actively grow your session then you might consider putting together a group to be displayed in our listings: http://www.folkjam.org/groups . This lets people know that there is a group in the area and you can also use group features to keep track of members and send out e-mails to everyone.

I live in Jasper out on Sam Rayburn Lake and jam frequently at Tripple Creek RV in Woodville. They have a web site with all the info. Try tripplecreekrv.com. This next weekend is the chili cookoff and open jam. If you have an RV brimg it and jam all weekend.
Everybody, please add the state to your post. I live in Illinois and don't know the names of some of the places you list in your posts. Please let me know where you really are so maybe I can get there. There's no way if I don't know which state you are in. Thanks.
Remember that the main feature of this site is the map-based listing of jams and musicians.
Rather than announcing a desire to jam in a forum post and hoping people from your area stumble across it, you can list yourself or your jam on the map, and everyone in your area can see you on the front page!
Then, you can also post a link to your jam, or group, or other listing in a forum post, like this:
