Old Time Fiddle Contest

3rd Annual Old Time Fiddle Contest

Divisions:
Junior Junior Division - 12 and under
Junior Division - 13 to 18 years old
Open Division
Fiddlers can register for only one of the preceding divisions.
Space is limited so register early to ensure entry.

Tunes:
Each contestant must play two old time tunes of their choice.
There is a 5 minute time limit for each contestant.

Judging:
Judges will be looking for the best traditional old time fiddle player.

Styles could include New England Dance, Down East, Canadian,
Southern U.S., British Isles, etc.

Additional Rules:
Fiddlers may play alone or with a rhythm accompanist.
No electric or amplified instruments allowed.
Fiddlers must play lead melody at all times.
In case of a tie, there will be a one-tune playoff.
All prizes will be awarded at the end of the contest.

When you arrive at the contest, please go to the
registration desk to let us know your tunes and
draw a number for order of play.
