Second Saturday Music announces the June concert will be held June 14th at the Twin Springs Park Gazebo on Maxwell street, in Siloam Springs. The concert will begin at 7:30 p.m. and features the Celtic and Folk Music group, "Loose Change", a five member band from Northwest Arkansas. While the band has been playing together locally about two years, collectively they have been playing music and performing regionally and internationally over one hundred and sixty years!

As their name implies, Loose Change is a band free from restraint and definitely different. Their love of Irish music, traditional fiddle tunes and flat foot dancing, along with folk songs produces an energetic mix of fun and enthusiasm. The hub of both Irish and American traditional music is the fiddle, played by Deanna Lisk and accompanied by husband Bill on the guitar. The remainder of the group is made up of Bill Wood playing mandolin, bouzouki, fiddle and guitar, Gary Coover on English concertina and squeeze box, and the group?s percussionist, Kent Beyette who keeps time with the Irish boudhran, bones and his flat foot dancing. Vocals include traditional American and Irish folk tunes.

Mike Flynn, host of the nationally syndicated radio show, "The Folk Sampler", will start the concert performing folk songs. The concert begins at 7:30. Bring a blanket or lawn chair. While admission is free, donations are appreciated. Friend of the Library will offer refreshments. In the event of rain, the concert moves across the street to Sager Creek Art Center.
