The fields of Cropredy have now grown back as is evident from the photograph taken this morning by Gareth Williams from the 'bar'. Nearly all traces of the festival have disappeared and there are animals back grazing on most of the campsites.

Jayne Matthews and her team did an astonishing job with the post-festival clean-up and all the landowners have commented on it. Thanks Jayne!

And so we must turn our attention to Fairport's Cropredy Convention - 2008. We are pleased to announce that the dates for next year's festival are 7-9 August.

Some bands and artists have already been approached and we plan to have some news for you in the near future.

We could not have been luckier with the weather in the run up to the festival following the dreadful floods which devastated the area only 3 weeks previously. As if to emphasise the point, it rained quite heavily on the Tuesday after the festival and turned the Concert Arena into a quagmire, to such an extent that we banned all vehicular movement for 5 days to save damaging the land. What was left there, stayed there, until the following week.

Our thanks once again to all our suppliers and the land owners for their patience and understanding before, during and after the festival.

A big thank you to you, the festival goers, for your patience and understanding too! We know that some of you had to walk further than normal to use the toilets but the fact is that we could only place them where we knew we could service them if the weather broke. We felt that a short walk would be better than a smelly, unserviced toilet for 3 days.

A lot of work was done on the infrastructure of the site this year for the future and we hope to increase the number and location of toilets and showers for 2008, especially in Field 7.

Many other improvements will be made and your comments and suggestions are all welcome so please do let us know your thoughts and ideas.
