Please join us at Steve Mason Luthiers and Violin Shop/Steve and Gayle's house this Tuesday, March 17th, to celebrate Saint Patrick's Day. We will do potluck at 6:00 and jam until 10:00. We will try a Celtic tune or two but mostly we will try to drive snakes out by playing the old time tunes on fiddles, banjos, mandolins, guitars and such. All acoustic. Daughter Natalie will be home for spring break, and she has promised Corn beef and cabbage. There are more Irishmen in America than there are in Ireland. And on Saint Patrick's Day you don't even have to be Irish to be Irish.

We meet on the third Saturday of March for our regular jam session where we play primarily contra dance tunes, Irish and old time songs. Bluegrass, gospel and other acoustic music are certainly welcome, we just tend towards the tunes in our tune book.

Join this group and look in the files area to see sheet music and midi files for our regular tunes.

Jam update. Saturday, March 28 3:30pm: We are still on for tonight. The first two folks in report little problem getting here. Be careful if you do come. It's certainly been messy here. The ice stopped around 1pm and it's light snow now.

So far many folks have called to confirm, many intend to make it aside from those who are furthest away, especially to the East where the storm headed after the worst bits hit here.

Our meetings consist of playing ukes, yapping about ukes, and learning about ukes. At each of our gatherings, members are encouraged to print out and bring a new tune. We always try and have some for the novice as well as the more intermediate (should I say advanced?) musicians. There are no egos and everyone is there because they love ukuleles and ukulele music.
