We do potluck at 6:00 and jam until 10:00. We play the old time fiddle tunes on fiddles, banjos, mandolins, guitars and such. All acoustic. We’d love to have you join us. We have a nice wood floor, cloggers welcome.

The evening before the annual Kansas State Championships is a jam session. This year it starts at 6:30 in Lawrence's South Park on Saturday the 26th. More information is on their web site, including details of the competition that starts at noon the next day.

Rain location: The Community Building 11th & Vermont (adjacent to the park)

The Kansas State Fiddling and Picking Championships will be celebrating their 28th year in 2008. Some of the best musicians from around the state will gather in order to celebrate traditional acoustic music.

The two-day event will be held on August 23th and 24th at South Park, in Lawrence, Kansas. Admission to all events in free; there is a $5 entry fee for contestants. Pre-registration for contests can be done at www.kansasfiddlingandpicking.org. Registration for entering competitions is 20-minutes before each contest.
