The Free State Music Festival is a two-day acoustic music festival including IIIrd Tyme Out, the Freight Hoppers, the Midday Ramblers, Loose Gravel and others. The festival features a Band Contest Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m and shows Friday evening at 7:30, Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. and Saturday evening at 7 p.m.

The Kansas City Area Bluegrass Music Club has monthly jams on the 2nd Friday of the month, October thru May, in Independence, MO (15 miles east of KC, on I-70).

The Communiversity Fee is $9 per session. There is an enrollment limit of 25
persons per session.

Our first jam session of 2008!!! Bring your instruments, music and favorite snack foods. Drinks will be provided. YOU DO NOT HAVE TO SING JUST LOVE SONGS!!!
