You are invited to join in a traditional Celtic jam session during the "Festival in the Foyer" portion of Lawrence Scottish Fest at the Lawrence Arts Center. Please arrive by 5:15 so that the jam will be going strong by the time the doors open to the public at 5:30. From 6:00 to 7:00, the jam session exchanges 15-minute blocks of time with the Great Highland Pipes.

The Free State Music Festival is a two-day acoustic music festival including IIIrd Tyme Out, the Freight Hoppers, the Midday Ramblers, Loose Gravel and others. The festival features a Band Contest Friday afternoon at 1:30 p.m and shows Friday evening at 7:30, Saturday afternoon at 1:30 p.m. and Saturday evening at 7 p.m.
